Planning a Party? Make it a Bingo Event!
What game has made an appearance at casinos, churches, and schools, alike? That’s right, it’s Bingo, one of the most versatile and exciting games around. Bingo has long been used as a teaching tool, a way to raise funds, and even a chance to win tremendous cash prizes.
But did you ever consider playing Bingo at your next big bash? There are lots of different ways to play - one for every type of party. Whether you’re hosting kids or adults, Bingo is a game that provides endless entertainment for everyone.
Let’s look at some of the ways you can incorporate Bingo into your next event.
Meet the Party Guests Bingo Game
You’re hosting a cocktail evening for a bunch of adults who could stand to know each other a bit better. But how do you get the conversation flowing? Start with a Meet the Guests Bingo Game.
Here’s how to play:
Create a Bingo card for every guest. Each card should be divided up into several squares. In each square, write a brief description of one of your guests. For example: “Father’s name is David.” or “Went to Vale this winter.” or even “Loves pepperoni pizza.”
It’s up to the guests to go around the room getting signatures of other party-attendees who fit the descriptions on their bingo card. The first person to fill their bingo card with signatures wins a prize.
A Halloween Bingo Game
The air is crisp, and little ghosts and goblins are roaming the streets. But inside, you have a party going on and need activities. Turn a classic Bingo game into a game of GHOST. Just create a Bingo card for every guest, using a standard Bingo game as your model. Instead of the letters B,I,N,G,O, write the letters G,H,O,S,T across the top of your card. Decorate your cards with scary spiders and jack-o-lanterns. When you call out the numbers, have the guests mark them off with candy corn. Whoever completes a row first, gets to call out “Boo!”
A Jeopardy Bingo Game
If you’re hosting some high level intellectuals (or just a bunch who like to be mentally challenged), play a Jeopardy Bingo Game. Create bingo cards in standard Bingo format, but at the top of each column, write down a topic. For example, the topic can be state capitals, or art history, or botany - whatever you think your guests will enjoy. Then come up with lots of questions and answers for each category. Write the answers on your guests cards, and put the questions into a big box.
To play the bingo game, pick a question from the box and read it aloud. Guests who find the answers on their boards can mark them off with M&M’s. The first person to complete a row, or get a blackout, wins a prize.
So whether you’re hosting a bridal shower, a bachelorette party, or a six-year old’s dinosaur birthday bash, make Bingo a part of your next event. There are so many ways to turn Bingo into a phenomenal party activity. With a little creativity, you can come up with a great Bingo game for every occasion.
